Siri White creates sculptures which could have come straight out of Nordic Fables or Sagas. Hence the studio's name, 'Fable Dyr' (dyr means animal or creature in Norwegian).

Siri's funkadelic beasts evolve from natural wood and beach combing finds of the Turks and Caicos shorelines, but her inspiration comes from other past homes - Scandinaiva, Africa, Borneo and Persia in particular.

The work is very colourful, mystical and sometimes mythological. The fantasy creatures have powerful personalities, sometimes mischevious, somtimes scary, but always with an interesting twist.
